ππ‘π π§ππ±π-π ππ§ππ«πππ’π¨π§ π¨π π¨π©ππ’πππ₯ ππ¨π§π§ππππ’π―π’ππ² π’π¬ π‘ππ«π Tower Semiconductor and Coherent Corp. are driving the continued scaling of optical interconnects for next-generation AI infrastructure. Tower Semiconductor and Coherent announced the demonstration of 400Gbps-per-lane data transmission using a silicon-only MZM, targeting next-generation 3.2T optical transceivers on Towerβs high-volume silicon photonics (SiPho) process. This demonstration of the new modulator, utilizing Coherentβs high-power InP CW laser, was presented at OFC 2026 and achieved a clear βopen eyeβ at 420Gb/s PAM4, enabling 3.2T optical transceivers for both pluggable and co-packaged optics (CPO) architectures.
