Villages, communities and entire cities around the world are reimagining what dementia care can look like. From a purpose-built village in the Netherlands where residents visit the pub and tend to the gardens, to an entire Belgian city training its restaurant staff and museum guides, these places have one thing in common: they start from possibility, not limitation. They don't ask "what does this person need medically?" but rather "what does this person need to live well?" We've put together four of our favourite examples, each one a reminder that a better life for people with dementia is not just possible, but it’s already a reality.
