Day 2 of the #PTMRoadshow 2026 in Islamabad brought together strong momentum, meaningful dialogue, and high-level engagement, as the #PTMConference took center stage. The day featured three insightful #paneldiscussions that addressed key challenges and opportunities shaping Pakistan’s tourism sector, from destination branding and connectivity to unlocking growth in inbound tourism. The conference commenced with a welcome address by Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Federal Secretary at the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination, setting the tone for collaboration and progress. This was followed by a keynote on tourism policy by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, emphasizing the importance of strategic direction and effective public-private partnerships. Adding a global perspective, Harry Hwang, Director for Asia and the Pacific at UN Tourism, shared valuable insights on regional trends and emerging opportunities. The presence of Syed Yusaf Raza Gillani, Chairman Senate of Pakistan, further underscored the growing importance of tourism at the national level. From policy to practice, the conversations reflected a shared vision, to strengthen connectivity, enhance destination branding, and position Pakistan more competitively on the global tourism map.
