#Cruisetourism in Southeast Asia is making waves, generating an impressive US$10 billion in total economic output in 2024, according to a new study by CLIA | Cruise Lines International Association in partnership with Singapore Tourism Board and produced by Tourism Economics. Despite accounting for just 2% of global cruise passengers, the region delivers exceptional value, accounting for 5% of global cruise output and generating 2.4x the global average spend per passenger. Southeast Asia’s cruise sector also contributed US$4.5 billion to regional GDP and supported approximately 530,000 jobs, underlining its role as a major economic driver and employment engine. Market leaders Singapore and Malaysia dominate the landscape, accounting for 70% of cruise passenger visits, while emerging destinations across the region hold significant untapped potential. #SoutheastAsia #TravelIndustry #GlobalTourism #TourismGrowth #CruiseIndustry #SingaporeTourism #TravelTrends
