National Reconciliation Week (NRW) commences today with this year's theme, ‘All In’, there is a role for all of us across our industry to play in reconciliation, and our ongoing commitment is reflected in our Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan and through our Discover Aboriginal Experiences (DAE) program. As NRW encourages us all to deepen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, the DAE Cultural Insights series offers stories designed to inspire and educate your audiences. In some Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, the kangaroo is seen as a teacher of Country, helping people read the land for food, water and seasonal knowledge. On Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island), guides from Yura Tours share how tracking kangaroos reveals what they are eating and where resources can be found, passing on knowledge that has been shared for generations. This is just one of many stories in the Cultural Insights series, ready to be shared with customers, media and trade partners to bring Australia’s rich cultural heritage to life.
