Powering ahead, one gust at a time! 🌬️🇰🇿 In #Kazakhstan, we have taken the final investment decision for the Mirny project, one of the country’s largest #renewable energy initiatives to date, bringing together 1 GW of onshore wind and a 600 MWh Saft battery energy storage system. Located in the southeast of the country, Mirny is designed to turn strong winds into steady power. Once at full capacity, it will generate enough renewable #electricity to supply around 1 million people, while the battery system will help stabilize the national grid and strengthen Kazakhstan’s energy infrastructure! 🔋 Developed with "Samruk Energy"​ JSC and KazMunayGas, and backed by long-term financing plus a 25‑year power purchase agreement with the Government of Kazakhstan, the project will reach full capacity in 2029.
