TotalEnergies is building a European SAF production footprint across 5 sites, prioritizing the most cost-competitive technologies. 🔎 Our production capacity : Normandy (France) — coprocessing HVO since 2025, 160 kt/y La Mède (France) – SAF from HEFA since 2025, 15 kt/y Antwerp (Belgium) – coprocessing HVO since 2025, 80kt/y Grandpuits (France) – SAF from HEFA starting 2026, 230 kt/y 💡 Why it matters: coprocessing and brownfield HEFA refineries are the most affordable SAF production pathways. 2 to 3x the cost of conventional jet fuel, compared to 8 to 12x for synthetic e-SAF.
