Higher education is being reshaped by rapid change, requiring bold thinking, meaningful collaboration, and a renewed focus on impact. At the HEDx 2026 conference, we joined sector leaders to explore the future of learning and the evolution of University 2.0. Our Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Dominique Parrish, led a panel on online learner expectations, while Vice Chancellor & CEO, Professor Aleks Subic contributed to discussions on transformation and innovation. Aleks highlighted that universities thrive when they align place-based impact with student success, ensuring they meaningfully serve local communities while preparing graduates for work, life, and contribution. The event reinforced the importance of collaboration, courage, and reinvention in shaping the future of higher education.
