Continuing our ongoing series highlighting women at Topsoe, let’s say hi to Anjali A Edathil 👋 "Six years ago, I made a bold decision – to move to Denmark alone with my one-and-a-half-year-old son to pursue my PhD at DTU as my husband couldn’t join immediately due to work commitments. Many thought it would be impossible, but with the unwavering support of my family, I took the leap. Balancing research and motherhood was never easy, especially when the pandemic hit. My days were spent caring for my child and my nights became dedicated to research. It was exhausting, but perseverance paid off, and I successfully completed my PhD. As I approached the next step in my career, I discovered an opportunity as a Scientist at Topsoe Battery Materials – a role that perfectly aligned with my passion for materials science. It marked the start of an exciting journey, where I could apply my knowledge and explore the future of sustainable energy solutions. At Topsoe, I work in a dynamic role that pushes me to multitask and innovate every day. Working on multiple projects to develop next-generation battery materials, I balance research, development and collaboration. The fast-paced nature of my job pushes me to stay adaptable, continuously learn and contribute to something bigger. Through this journey, I’ve learned that success is not about choosing between career and family – it's about finding balance with the right mindset and support system. Along side my technical role, I am proud to be part of Topsoe Women in Network & Allies Board. This platform allows me to give back by supporting fellow women especially who are navigating their careers during motherhood – helping them see that pursuing career dreams doesn’t mean compromising their family life.  Outside of work, I find joy in dancing – whether it's Zumba or Indian dance. Recently, I’ve discovered a passion for skating, probably after spending most of my spare time at Rungsted Skøjtehal alongside my son, who loves playing ice hockey. Watching him on the ice inspired me to take on my own challenge – learning to skate with the dream of figure skating one day! Looking back, every challenge along the way has shaped who I am today – both as a scientist and as a person. I truly believe that when we take risks, explore new opportunities, and work together, we don’t just imagine the future – we create it!" 💚 #WomenAtTopsoe #GoSolve
