Today, on International Celiac Awareness Day, we recognize the significant burden faced by people living with celiac disease worldwide. While a strict gluten-free diet remains the current standard of care, many patients continue to experience persistent symptoms and ongoing intestinal inflammation. At Topas Therapeutics, we are working to advance a different approach: antigen-specific immune tolerance. Our goal is to address the underlying immune mechanisms driving celiac disease by training the immune system to tolerate gluten. Our previously reported Phase 2a data provided encouraging clinical evidence supporting this approach.
