Now that I have a son who is almost two years old, protecting our environment has become even more personal. Every child deserves to grow up with clean beaches, healthy rivers, and thriving oceans—not landscapes covered in plastic waste. It is time for governments and companies to move beyond meetings, discussions, and promises. We need real Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) with clear accountability, dedicated funding, and measurable action. The companies that profit from selling plastic packaging must also take responsibility for collecting, recycling, and preventing it from polluting our environment. The question is: who will take responsibility, and when? Our children cannot wait.
