As the leader of Blood, Sweat & Tears, Thomas and band were one of the foremost progenitors of the Jazz-Rock genre (along with Chicago, Lighthouse, and The Ides of March). His voice with BST and over his solo career was unmatched. He will be missed but his music will carry on a brilliance that only his unique vocal tone could deliver.
