My good friend Bill Sneck, SJ, kindly and rightly corrected my pronunciation of the last name of giant, Bohemian-Austrian poet, Ranier Maria Rilke, as I referenced the quote below in front of a group. "It's Rilk-Ah, Tom, not Ee." “There is nothing more joyous than being able to truly make use of oneself again, whether in the service of plans or memories; and what is most beautiful is the moment when plans and memories coincide and produce desired freedom to continue the one in the other.” Ranier Maria Rilke (1875--1926) Is this not the most accurate, eloquent description of the goal that we career coaches/counselors aspire to with our clients?
