Two days have passed at Frankfurt Digital Finance.   For me, it was a refreshing experience, full of engaging, often provocative conversations. I learned a lot, and I hope I gave some inspiration to some of my interlocutors.   'AI', 'agentic coding', and 'agentic transformation' were among the most frequently quoted words and phrases. These are definitely indicators of the industry’s future. There is, however, a reflection that has come to my mind and hasn’t left it yet.   1️⃣. Everybody uses AI, or implements it, or will be implementing, or says they are doing so, 2️⃣. There is a lot of misunderstanding of what certain words mean; therefore, though we use the same words, there is still a discrepancy between the promises and expectations regarding automation via AI. 3️⃣. Most organizations don't know how to prepare for the adoption of AI. Despite universal enthusiasm, clear integration strategies, workforce preparation plans, and realistic timelines remain elusive.
