A fun night surrounded by a few of my former bosses, mentors, and friends who have been important to me over the years. Many of the leaders in our industry have roots at Robinson, and Jim Dorcy is one of the reasons why. Jim is one of those former bosses and has been a mentor and friend ever since. He’s a rare breed.. someone who earns respect through authenticity, humility, and the way he lifts up the people around him. It was fitting that we had to practically drag him into a retirement celebration. Anyone who knows Jim knows he’d much rather quietly slip out with an Irish goodbye. After great careers at Nash Finch, SuperValu, Robinson Fresh, and WPS Fresh, Jim is heading into retirement (at least that’s what he’s telling us). Congrats again, Jim. Well deserved, and thanks for the impact you’ve had on so many of us!
