Sometimes you meet people through work that you hold on a different level to others. I met Andre Volsteedt and Yusuf Vahed early on in my time with Catapult and they blew me away with what they had built at Blue Bulls Company. Proper operators with incredible knowledge and an appetite to push boundaries of their environment. Pretty inspiring in all honesty. It’s been so good to work with with them both on driving levels of performance across their club. We stay in touch on a personal level too and getting to know them has been such a brilliant perk of the job. A huge weekend as Blue Bulls face Leinster in the United Rugby Championship Final in Dublin and I’ve got my fingers crossed it goes their way; given what South African teams face during each season, it will be some achievement. Best of luck guys, I’ll be watching on the sofa. As long as I gain control of the remote…. 😬 Oh, and if you’re ever in Pretoria and you’re looking for a game of padel, Andre is your man. Nailed on for the Padel Masters! 😜
