Senior Director of EMEIA - Quality Varian

We had the great honor of welcoming H.E. Stephan Christian Auer, Ambassador of Germany to Finland, and his colleagues from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to our Siemens Healthineers office in Helsinki. During the visit, Jarno Eskelinen, CEO of Zone Nordics & Baltics, shared insights into Siemens Healthineers’ global business and its impact across healthcare systems. I also had the opportunity to introduce our team and share the history of Varian in Finland, highlighting our long-standing commitment to innovation in cancer care. We presented our cancer radiotherapy treatment planning center of excellence, powered by the Varian R&D team here in Finland. The discussion on healthcare digitalization and AI-driven innovation was led by Chris Boylan and Johannes Arminen, showcasing the pioneering work being done locally. The visit included engaging discussions, a tour of our modern office, and I had the opportunity to talk about our contemporary ways of working that reflect the Healthineers culture.
