Article we published today in Environmental Conservation led by our Senior Research Associate Qing Xu and our data scientist Mingxiang Cai where we detect, classify and analyze Chinese-language #Facebook posts involving #illicit wildlife trafficking. Even though we are primarily public health researchers (examining #covid19outbreak #opioidcrisis), we also have a passion for #conservation, and seeing illicit trading of Rhino, Elephant and other animals on Facebook is extremely distressing.
