As the world is going through an AI development curve, it is also going through an AI Adoption curve. And both curves, while related, are different from each other. The public consensus is that the adoption curve will be rapid. The rate at which ChatGPT users have increased, definitely suggests the same. But traditionally, technology adoption curves have been slower than development curves especially for companies and institutions. This disconnect is particularly evident when considering the potential impact of AI. As individuals, how soon and how many of us will be ready to go under a robotic surgical arm even if it is proven to be more safe than human surgeons? Similarly, companies must navigate a complex landscape before embracing AI. Factors like outcome reliability, regulations, privacy concerns, data quality and the economic viability play a significant role. As a recent Raconteur article aptly points out, businesses should prioritize strategic planning over a hasty adoption of AI solutions. The allure of cutting-edge technology can be strong, but careful consideration of these factors is essential for successful integration. https://lnkd.in/gWiR_R-a #AIAdoption #FutureofWork #DigitalTransformation
