AI can automate. But is it worth it? Found this thought-provoking article published by MIT Sloan School of Management which made me think about the cost efficiency of adopting AI, and wanted to share my insights on it. It seems to be one of the early scientific studies on predicting possible adoption curves. It specifically focuses on adding the factor of economic viability in addition  to technical feasibility, to predict adoption curves.  Using computer vision as an example, the research reveals that, at current costs, automating only 23% of tasks possible with AI is economically justifiable. In addition to emphasising the need for companies to consider financial viability in their AI Adoption Framework, the paper also predicts a much slower AI adoption curve than most of the consensus suggests. https://lnkd.in/getB5JXK #AIAdoption #FutureOfWork #BusinessTransformation
