As we observe International Archives Week, it feels like the right time to reflect on what archives really are: not just records of the past, but the fragments of intent, effort, and ideas that shaped them. Earlier this year, we curated Mavericks in The Making 2026 - an exhibit from the Titan Archives that brought together moments from a 42-year journey that began in 1984. What came through in the process wasn’t a single linear story, but a set of turning points, experiments, and decisions that quietly shaped the Company over time. From a printing challenge that led to Titan Watches, to the engineering push behind EDGE, from the rise of Fastrack to the building of Tanishq and early global ambitions - each chapter looked very different in its time. Together, they form something far less linear, and far more human. What stood out most was not just what was displayed, but what it represented: that behind every milestone are individuals who chose to think differently, build patiently, and push boundaries when there were none defined.
