In the third and final installment of the State of Knowledge paper series, leading risk assessor Julie Panko, highlights an important challenge: current data on tire wear emissions and potential health impacts remain limited and inconclusive as a result of the fragmented research approach and lack of harmonized methods. Addressing this challenge will require collaboration across industry, researchers and policymakers. By working together on standardized methodologies and transparent data sharing, we can build the evidence base needed to make credible, science-based decisions for the future.
