High performance leaves very little to chance. That was the strongest impression I took away from spending time with our TechCFO group at Oracle Red Bull Racing last week, seeing firsthand how precision, trust, and technology come together at the very edge of performance. At Red Bull Racing, every decision is grounded in data. Every sensor, simulation, and feedback loop exists for one reason: to make the next decision better than the last. When milliseconds matter, intuition alone isn’t enough, and neither is fragmented information. What stood out just as much was the culture behind the technology. Engineers and drivers operate with a high degree of trust, exchanging direct and honest feedback. Speed isn’t just about the car; it’s about how quickly teams align, decide, and act. Those dynamics feel increasingly familiar to anyone leading finance today. Finance teams increasingly need to operate like a pit crew and be data‑driven, tightly coordinated, and ready to act with speed and confidence when it matters most. As our function evolves in an AI‑driven, software‑defined world, the expectations are clear: more accurate forecasting, faster and smarter contract analysis, harmonized KPIs, and real‑time insights that enable better decisions. Not after the fact, but in the moment. Thank you to Oracle Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology for the inspiration, and to Kayley Buttle and Markus Sebald for bringing this group together. How do you see finance leadership changing as AI becomes embedded in everyday decision‑making?
