For those outside the Netherlands who have no idea why there is a backpack hanging from a flagpole in front of our house... This is one of our Dutch traditions. When someone graduates, we raise the national flag and hang their school bag from it to celebrate the achievement. Today that flag is proudly flying at our home because my wife, Véronique Jongen received confirmation yesterday that she has completed her Master's degree in Health Innovation. I could not be prouder! Earning a Master's degree is an accomplishment in itself. Doing it while working full time at Medtronic, and at the same time keeping our family and household running, makes it even more impressive. This achievement reflects exactly who Veronique is: determined, resilient, and incredibly persistent. When she sets her mind to something, she gets it done.
