The canyon of the river Rosomača, popularly known as the Rosomački lonci (pots of river Rosomača), is located 30 km from Pirot, not far from the village of Slavinja. It was created by cutting the water flow into the rocks of the Stara Planina. Many call it Serbian Colorado, because of the similarity of the canyons. The river passes through a canyon of layered edges in which there are extensions with whirlpools. Because they resemble cauldrons or pots, the canyon was named Rosomački lonci. Also, it is not unusual to call it Rosomačko grlo (throat), Rosomačko ždrelo (gorge), Slavinjski lonci. Just before entering the canyon, you will find a clearing, ideal for camping, with an old mill. If you want to visit some more sights of this area, in the village of Slavinja you will find the old church of St. George from the 16th century, and if you are looking for accommodation, near the village is a larger place - Visočka Ržana, with interesting stone houses. #rosomackilonci #kanjonrekerosomace #srbija #timserbia
