#Trilogue agreement on the electronic posting of workers form #eDeclaration! Whenever I ask what irritates companies about the #EU, the cumbersome posting of employees to other EU member states quickly comes up. We have taken that to heart and have been fighting for years for real simplification. No changes to rules about fair competition, no social dumping. The idea is to make compliant posting as #bureaucracy-light and legally secure as possible. 💡 The solution? A single, unified electronic form. Enter the employee’s data once in your own language, and the formalities are basically taken care of. There was a lot of resistance, as some member states want to cling to their respective (paper) formats. The solution is not perfect: 🔹 The list of items that may be requested is too long; 🔹 Not all member states participate right from the start 🔹 So far, the A1 certificate, the proof of proper social security registration, is not integrated into the eDeclaration. But still. Finally, the EU is focusing on offering solutions to overcome concrete barriers of #SMEs to contribute to competitiveness and to reduce bureaucrativ burden. We have a starting concept that can be expanded. Thanks to a future linkage with further digital tools like business wallets and the European Social Security Pass #ESSPASS (both not yet adopted), the entrepreneur may not even have to input the data him or herself. This is an encouraging and forward-looking result! 🔗 More information here: https://lnkd.in/e2Xm22Pm SMEunited Zentralverband des Deutschen Handwerks (ZDH) #ThinkSmallFirst
