Throughout his career, Hans-Georg has made significant contributions to student support, career services, internationalization, and university governance. After joining Tilburg University as a student and beginning his career at the university in 1988, he went on to hold a wide range of positions, including founder and head of the Career Services Center, project leader for the establishment of the International Office, Managing Director of the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and, from 2021 onwards, University Secretary and Director of University Services. He also served with great dedication on committees focused on academic heritage, art, and university distinctions.
