What has happened in circular fashion during the past two weeks? 🔗 Read the full recap from the link in the comments. ▪️ RE.UNIQLO launched an upcycled collection in collaboration with two designers from Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London. ▪️ Reflaunt launched a resale service for personal shoppers and stylists. ▪️ Vinted expanded to Australia just 6 months after starting the US expansion. ▪️ Lithuania-based fashion brand Balsais launched its SS26 collection. Balsais creates pieces from plant-based materials, using and experimenting with next-gen materials like Savian, Oleatex, Bananatex, and Pyratex. ▪️ Circulose announced four new brand partnerships: EILEEN FISHER, Marimekko, Samsøe Samsøe, and King Louie. ▪️ Around 4,200 tonnes of textile waste were illegally shipped from Italy to Turkey. The textiles in question contained a high percentage of acrylic fibers, which are subject to strict and expensive recycling rules. ▪️ French used textile collector Le Relais will remove almost 4,300 textile collection containers by the end of the year due to unsustainable business conditions in the textile collection market.
