What a week. Rice Business Plan Competition 2026 brought together 42 startups from 39 universities across 4 countries, and TiE Houston was at the center of it all. From our pre-competition reception at Second Draught to the final rounds at Rice Business and the Ion District, our members showed up as judges, mentors, coaches, and investors. This is what TiE Houston in action looks like: we show up and invest in the next generation of founders. This year's highlights: 🔴 $175,000 in investment prizes awarded. The most we've ever given at RBPC 🔴 TiE Houston members served as judges across multiple tracks 🔴 Our Golden Ticket team SA-Dynamics from RWTH Aachen University competed after intensive week of coaching from our Charter Members and ecosystem partners. Shoutout and congratulations to our friends at TiE Toronto  with their teams Laetech and NerView Surgical that competed on the global stage this year.
