We hold ~40% of Mongolia's steel radiator import market. Here's what that took — and what it means for buyers sourcing from China. China shipped ~4,490 steel radiator consignments to international buyers in 12 months (Oct 2023–Sep 2024), up 11% year-on-year. Behind it: certification barriers, regional infrastructure differences, and supplier credibility gaps that separate reliable partners from catalogue companies. We've exported from Tianjin since 2002. Here's what overseas buyers actually need to know. The market is bigger than most buyers realise The global steel panel radiator market is valued at USD 1.58–7.2 billion (2024), growing at 5.2–5.6% CAGR through 2032. Europe holds ~39% of global value; Asia-Pacific is the fastest-growing region (~6.2% CAGR). Uzbekistan alone imported ~14 million radiator units in 2024 (+22.5% CAGR over the decade). Mongolia: ~40% share, built on the right product for the right system Mongolia's district heating is Soviet-era: pressurised hot-water networks running above 800 kPa. Panel radiators — common in Western Europe — aren't designed for these pressures. We export steel column radiators (2- and 3-column) built for this infrastructure, and exhibited at BARILGA EXPO Mongolia 2024. The ~40% share reflects years of consistent supply, not a single large order. Certification is the entry ticket Selling into the EU or UK without the right paperwork isn't a grey area — it isn't legally possible: • EU: CE mark under the CPR, based on EN 442-1 type testing by a Notified Body • UK: UKCA mark, tested to BS EN 442-2 by a UK-accredited lab such as BSRIA • Russia / CIS: GOST certified We hold CPR certificates covering all four panel types plus column and towel models, BSRIA reports for UK supply, and GOST certification for the CIS market. 300 containers a year, 20+ countries, six product series Annual export volume is ~300 containers across Germany, France, the UK, Poland, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Australia, Canada, and Argentina. What to verify when sourcing Chinese radiators 1. Real CPR certificate numbers (verify on NANDO, not just a supplier PDF) 2. DoP (Declaration of Performance) for every product type sold in the EU 3. BSRIA or equivalent UK lab report for UK supply 4. Correct product type for the local system — column for district heating, panel for boiler systems Skipping this due diligence often leads to customs holds, returns, or project-level liability.
