Automotive Technology is setting the course for the next phase of our transformation. We have agreed to sell our Automation Engineering business unit to Agile Robots SE – another step to clearly position our automotive business for growth and capital market readiness. What convinces us: ✔️Engineering excellence in plant engineering at Automation Engineering meets the robotics and AI expertise of Agile Robots. ✔️ Together, they will form a strong system provider for next-generation industrial automation – from intelligent components to turnkey systems. ✔️Under its new name “Krause Automation”, the business will build on its long-standing tradition in plant engineering and open up additional markets beyond the automotive industry, such as intralogistics, electronics and medical technology. Reliability is key for us – for both customers and employees: together with IG Metall and Agile Robots, we have concluded a best-and-fair-owner agreement that ensures fair and transparent conditions for the colleagues at Automation Engineering. The sale fits seamlessly into the new setup of thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology with its four business units Chassis, Components, Aftermarket and Forging.
