𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗽, 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 - 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲'𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 🇳🇱 Eight parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance THORIZON’s 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐩 📍The PILOT 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐧𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 is expanding in Zeeland 📍The PIONEER 𝐧𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 will be built at NRG PALLAS in Noord-Holland 📍Thorizon One, Europe’s 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, is targeting Zeeland as its home. 🔬 NRG PALLAS, the leading Dutch nuclear research institute and THORIZON’s founding home, will provide the 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 and intends to become owner, licensee and operator of the 𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐑 demonstrator. Rooted at the Energy & Health Campus in Petten, alongside decades of molten salt research, this is the right foundation. ⚡EPZ, which has operated the 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 for over 50 years, has completed a pre-feasibility assessment validating the suitability of the site and has joined this coalition to investigate becoming the owner, licensee and operator of 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐧𝐞 with Zeeland as target location. 🏛️ Both Provincie Zeeland and Provincie Noord-Holland are committed to supporting 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 and to actively engaging stakeholders in their regions. Impuls Zeeland and ROM InWest alongside Invest-NL, intend to 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 THORIZON in this next and decisive phase of development. 🇪🇺 🇫🇷 🇳🇱 THORIZON is a 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐨-𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐛𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧. France brings fuel cycle mastery and nuclear engineering depth through partners including Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives and Orano. The Netherlands brings high-tech manufacturing and a 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦. Together we are building a sovereign European value chain for 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 that no single country could build alone.
