We’re hiring: FX Trading Java Developer - VP London Thomson Keene are working on a VP-level Java Developer role based in London, sitting directly within the trading business rather than a central technology function. This team is the hub of the global trading function and covers all FX products, including spot, swaps, forwards, options, trading and pricing. The role offers a broad mix of strategic platform work and desk-driven projects, with a focus on constant improvement, re-writes and high-impact delivery. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻: • Strategic projects to re-write spot pricing and hedging platforms • Potential migration of external connectivity platforms • Multiple desk-driven projects at once • Building and improving systems that support pricing, trading and execution • Working closely with traders in a business-facing role with direct P&L impact 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿: • Strong Core Java development experience • Good understanding of low-latency systems • Front office trading technology experience • VP-level experience, with the ability to work independently and use initiative • Aeron, FIX, Python or KDB experience would be beneficial • FX experience would be advantageous, although other front office backgrounds will be considered This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Java Developer who wants to work closely with the business on high-impact trading platforms in a fast-moving front office environment.
