𝗧𝗖𝗟 𝗘𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘄𝗲𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 | 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 During the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, TCL unveiled "TCL Edelweiss Land" at Piazza Duca d’Aosta, right in front of Milano Centrale. As a Worldwide Olympic Partner, our goal was to move beyond traditional sponsorship and build a public experiential pavilion where architecture, technology, and connected living could meet the energy of the Olympic Games in the heart of the city. The architectural language was inspired by the winter landscapes of the Alps and the edelweiss flower, a symbol of purity, resilience, and alpine endurance. Deep-blue glass surfaces were calibrated to evoke the clarity and reflectivity of ice, with sculptural edelweiss elements embedded into the structure. What made this project deeply meaningful was the rigorous journey from concept to reality: 𝟭) 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁: Utilizing AI-assisted visual exploration in the early design phases to rapidly iterate visual possibilities without replacing traditional design craft. 𝟮) 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Moving through material sampling, full-scale prototyping, and meticulous lighting calibration to ensure the final on-site structure was perfectly executed. During the Olympic period, the pavilion welcomed more than 148,000 physical visitors, becoming a vibrant gathering point for global tourists, athletes, brand partners, and media. This physical footprint translated seamlessly into the digital space, resulting in a 30% increase in online engagement according to Quantcast data. Ultimately, this project reflects a core philosophy: technology and innovation become far more powerful when they are experienced emotionally, physically, and collectively.
