There has been war in Europe since 2014, and on an even larger scale since 2022 – but it hasn't yet become a reality for us. We still hope that this whole nightmare will dissipate and things will return to the way they once were. Yesterday's failure of the talks in Istanbul is confirmation that Europe is incapable of bringing about a turnaround without US support. This is being very clearly perceived in Russia. At least politicians have recognized the seriousness of the situation – far too late – and substantial sums are to be invested in defense. Nevertheless, it requires the efforts of everyone: industry by focusing on defense technologies, investors by focusing on defense infrastructures in the form of public-private partnership models.
