What a cool event is #WFA2026! It was inspiring and a pleasure to meet all the great people and listening to excellent talks about what happens in the real BPM world. Michael Rosemann switched the perspective of BPM to not just consider the past but looking into the future. Having a vision moves us towards a better world. Sven Schnägelberger showed how digital businesses become actual digital businesses with virtual employees. The limiting factor only seems to be the price of tokens and regularities. Manfred Brandstätter demands to set the end customer in the focus. This fascinating but comprehensible approach brings real value and makes business processes much more accessible. BJÖRN RICHERZHAGEN (thank you for the kind invitation) reminds us what is important in any situation: Knowing how your business works (in processes). Especially in times of AI, knowing where to apply AI and, more importantly, where not is crucial. There were some many more inspiring talks and I can just recommend to take part of #WFA2027 to hear them all. Hopefully, Nadja Böhlmann will again guide us through the journey. For me, it was important to reconnect science and practice in BPM. This will force real enablers. Thanks to the Friedrich Schiller University Jena #UniJena, Germany, to make this possible, especially, to the team of #ULe. Take a look at Nadja Böhlmann‘s post to get more impressions.
