A 6 days old 3kg newborn with antenatally diagnosed truncus arteriosus type 2 developed signs of pulmonary overcirculation. After multidisciplinary decision we took her to the cathlab and placed bilateral pulmonary flow restrictors (modified Medtronic MVP 7 on both sides) retrogradely from the aorta. Saturations dropped by 10% and bloodpressure increased by 10 mmHg. The baby is stable and awaiting surgery at a later stage. Thanks to the whole team: Ingrid van Beynum, Gert van den Berg, Zineta Fejzic, Martijn Zeggelaar, Marco Kruit, Arthur van der Mark, Wouter van Leeuwen, Yannick Taverne, our fantastic pediatric anesthetic team and everybody else involved!
