Founder, LatinaUGC | 1700+ real creator video for performance ads, tested against AI UGC | Helping media buyers find reaction clips that convert
Most people buying creator video are optimizing the wrong thing. They brief for the setting. The aesthetic kitchen, the sunset balcony, the cinematic backdrop. They think beauty is what converts. It is not. For a performance ad, the reaction is the asset and the setting is just context. A genuine, authentic-feeling reaction in an ordinary room will out-convert a gorgeous, produced clip where nothing real happens on the creator's face. The trap is "cinematic." Cinematic reads as produced, and produced reads as an ad, and an ad gets scrolled past. Authentic-interesting beats aspirational-beautiful almost every time in paid social. So when you brief creator video for performance, brief the moment, not the scenery. What should they feel, and will it read as real. That single reframe has changed what I tell every buyer I work with.
