It has already been 10 years since I traded my job in marketing at a leading traffic planning and simulation company for “rivets, screws, and nuts,”🔩 as a colleague put it. Now, 10 years later, I am still here. Still fascinated by rivets, screws, nuts, and the whole world of fastening technology. By the sheer volume of innovation that is constantly happening here, by the infrastructure that deals with these fasteners, and by the dynamic in this field. Fasteners are referred to as C-parts in industry because they occupy the lowest position in the assembly hierarchy in terms of value and, in most cases, strategic importance. But what happens when there are problems with these small parts because they are not available or the quality is not (or no longer) right? The industry has had to face this question repeatedly in recent years as terms such as “supply chain resilience” have become commonplace. “It's the little things that hold the world together,” says the advertising slogan of an adhesive tape manufacturer. This definitely also applies to our fasteners, which often make up 30% of the parts used in a final product.  Small improvements in the selection, assembly, procurement, storage, and application of these small, inconspicuous parts often make an enormous difference when added up. Discovering this potential and allowing our customers to benefit from it in the long term, making them better than their competitors, is the business model of Bossard Group, my employer for the past 10 years. And even if that was a bit of marketing on my own behalf: Isn't this a great business model to be part of? In any case, I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and would like to say THANK YOU 🙏 for the past 10 exciting years to my team, my current and former colleagues, supervisors, and friends! #provenproductivity, #togetherwecreate, Erica Wong, Sarah Lausch, Leonie Gregorius, Patrick Ottiger, Sawn Soh, Johannes Böckl, Jan Reuter, Florian Heuter, Tobias Engelberg, Benjamin Hartinger, Julia Kuhn, Lea Bluntschli, Marianna Švartzová, Corina Sulzberger, Sebastian Karpik, Bartłomiej Lewiński, Isabell Ludwar, Alain Bollschweiler, Sophie Zell, Tobias Mayr, Dorothee Birnkammer and many many more! 🙏
