High five to you! :) It is fun to reflect upon how much I, and many with myself, have under-estimated the long-term compounding effect and over-estimated the short-term-results. That is said by me who is known for: 1. outcome-oriented audacious 5 year goals and plans, 2. doing the work [even the not so fun stuff], I put in the hours, 3. investing richly in my growth/development 4. weekly self-assesing rooms for improvement That is why I feel I can genuniely and authentically share this advice. :) High five to Regent's University London
