JDE Peet's Chief to Lead The HEINEKEN Company Restructuring Push The Dutch brewing giant has nominated Rafael Oliveira as its incoming CEO, effective 1 October 2026, pending shareholder approval at an EGM on 5 August. Oliveira joins from JDE Peet's — the world's largest pure-play coffee and tea company — where he has served as CEO since 2024. A 20-year veteran of international consumer goods, he brings a track record of transformational leadership across both developed and emerging markets. It's a notable appointment for several reasons. Heineken has traditionally promoted from within, making Oliveira the rare outsider handed the keys to one of the world's most iconic beer brands. He steps into the role vacated by Dolf van den Brink, who departed in May after nearly six years leading the company through significant market turbulence. The context matters: Heineken has faced declining sales and tough trading conditions, recently announcing cost-saving measures that include cutting up to 6,000 roles. Shareholders who pushed for a "fresh pair of eyes" appear to have got exactly that. What's the strategic read? A CEO who has navigated the complexities of global coffee is now tasked with reigniting premium beer. Consumer behaviour, portfolio discipline, and non-alcoholic growth will all be on his agenda. 🍺 Taste Magazine | C-Suite Intelligence for the Global F&B Industry  taste-magazine.com #FoodAndBeverage #Heineken #Leadership #CPG #FMCG #BeverageIndustry #Csuite #TasteMagazine
