Convicted child k*ller Jarvis Butts found de-d in prison just weeks after sentencing for m*rdering 13-year-old Na’Ziyah Harris!! Jarvis Butts was sentenced on March 12 to 35-60 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree m*rder in the execution of 13-year-old Na’Ziyah Harris. He was also sentenced on five other criminal s*xual conduct cases involving young girls ranging from 4 to 13 years old, all to be served concurrently. As part of the plea deal Butts was required to disclose the location of Na’Ziyah’s body. He said he dumped her body in the Rouge River, though it was never recovered. Prosecutors stated they were satisfied with his statement and that it provided some closure for the family. Investigators believe Butts had groomed Na’Ziyah since June 2022 and k*lled her after learning he had impregnated her. The other victims included an 8-year-old family member and a 4-year-old child to whom he gave chlamydia. Butts was found deceased on March 26 at the Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center in Jackson, Michigan. Michigan Department of Corrections staff attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful. It appears he did it himself.
