For 10 years, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Boys & Girls Clubs of America have helped connect young people with STEM experiences that build confidence, expand opportunities and inspire future careers. When Tay’Vion met STEM professionals through his local Boys & Girls Club, he saw something powerful: people doing jobs he admired, and realized he could be one of them. Through STEM programs and opportunities to mentor younger students, he discovered a love of math, gained confidence by stepping outside his comfort zone and began envisioning a future in astrophysics and education. Today, as a high school graduate, Tay’Vion plans to pursue both, with dreams of becoming a professor and inspiring the next generation of learners.
