Dengue fever remains one of the world’s most pressing infectious disease challenges, affecting communities across more than 140 countries. Each year, up to 100 million people worldwide contract dengue, with the numbers on the rise. Advancing research in this area requires a deeper understanding of the biology behind infection, immune response and disease progression. Through the COMBAT Dengue initiative, Olink, Part of Thermo Fisher Scientific technology is supporting an international research effort focused on deepening understanding of dengue fever and advancing innovative antiviral strategies. By adding protein-level insight to this collaborative effort, Olink can help researchers see biological signals associated with dengue and support broader efforts to strengthen pandemic preparedness. This is another example of how proteomics is becoming an essential layer of insight in modern biomedical research — helping scientists move from complex disease biology to actionable insights.
