✅ Hubert Paridaens and I are delighted to share our latest academic publication, “Startup partnerships for digital transformation in container shipping and logistics”, now published in the Journal of Shipping and Trade. ✅ In this paper, we explore how logistics companies design and manage partnerships with startup firms to accelerate their digital transformation efforts. Our study draws on a multiple‑case analysis of partnership programs at A.P. Moller - Maersk, CMA CGM, Kuehne+Nagel, and DB Schenker. ✅ We introduce a framework consisting of four building blocks that explain how corporate–startup partnerships are structured and how they evolve over time. We also examine the mechanisms through which value is captured in these collaborations. Our findings offer actionable insights for companies aiming to build and sustain effective innovation collaborations. ✅ A warm thanks to Editor-in-Chief Kee-hung Lai (Mike Lai) and the anonymous reviewers of our paper. ✅ The paper is freely accessible via the link below.
