Most medical students are told there’s only one path. Foundation → Specialty → Consultant. But that’s no longer the reality. And no one is properly breaking down what the alternatives actually look like. We decided to change that. Registration is now open for the London Medical Schools Research Conference 2026. Co-hosted by TheMedNex and King's Clinical & Academic Research Society (KCL CARS), this conference is built to give you clarity on what is actually possible with a medical degree today. What does the modern doctor actually look like in 2026? We’re bringing together doctors who have gone beyond the traditional pathway. That includes those working across academia, technology, entrepreneurship, as well as transitions into consulting, finance, and international medical careers such in the USA and Australia. You will hear how they made those decisions, what they wish they knew earlier, and what it actually takes to get there. Alongside this, we’re collaborating with all London medical schools to bring together a cross-institution audience. 📍 Bush House, King’s College London 📅 2nd May 2026 | 09:00 – 16:30 Food and refreshments will be served. Free to attend. Limited tickets. If you are a medical student or early career doctor who feels like you do not have full visibility on your options, or you want to think more strategically about your career, this is for you.
