Every in-house team is experimenting with AI right now, but the results hinge on one thing: the prompt. In a new blog, we outline 5 best practices for effective AI prompting, plus real-world examples you can start using today: ⚖️ Give AI a role. Don’t let the model guess—tell it to act as a lawyer with the expertise you need. 📚 Ask for IRAC. Structure responses with Issue, Rule, Application, and Conclusion to spot errors and reasoning gaps. 📝 Load up context (but don’t lead). The more background you give, the better the answer—just avoid nudging AI toward your preferred outcome. 🔁 Use AI to refine itself. Ask the model how to tweak your prompt, or cross-check one model’s output against another. ❓ Frame falsifiable questions. Push for answers you can verify, with sources or citations you can check.
