As we approach the warmer days in London, longer evenings, outdoor dining and increased activity are on the horizon. But with this seasonal shift comes a hidden challenge: declining air quality. While road transport is often highlighted, other sources, such as commercial cooking, contribute to PM2.5 emissions, particularly in dense urban areas. Combined with warmer weather, this can lead to summer smog episodes, impacting communities across London. Encouragingly, some restaurants are already taking action to reduce their impact. For example: - England's Grace Restaurant uses air purifying systems to help reduce emissions from cooking - Apricity Restaurant has been involved in initiatives exploring cleaner approaches to commercial cooking Search your local area to check air quality: https://lnkd.in/eNMffWa3 If you are interested in supporting cleaner air in London, whether through partnership, volunteering or programme engagement, we would love to hear from you. 🔗 Find out how to get involved: https://lnkd.in/eaxdWFSi #CleanAir #Sustainability #London #AirQuality #ClimateAction #PublicHealth
