🏗️ Shanghai Changxing Ocean Lab for Marine Equipment Officially Opened Marking a major milestone in China's national maritime strategy, the Shanghai Changxing Ocean Laboratory has been officially inaugurated on Changxing Island—a globally prominent hub for advanced shipbuilding and marine engineering. Developed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the massive public platform bridges the gap between basic research and real-world industrial application. Spanning nearly 20 hectares, the state-of-the-art facility features eight specialized experimental building clusters and an innovation park. Phase I is already fully operational, running pilot platforms focused on four high-stakes marine frontiers: intelligent manufacturing, smart equipment, green propulsion systems, and deep-sea engineering.
