It was a pleasure to meet Anna Farida and Eva Nukman from Litara Foundation on 22 May for an inspiring exchange on early childhood education in Indonesia. We discussed the importance of designing localised interventions to ensure impactful and sustainable outcomes, especially in Indonesia’s 3T regions — Terdepan (Frontier), Terluar (Outermost), and Tertinggal (Underdeveloped) — as well as the role of engaging children’s books in nurturing imagination, empathy, and a love for learning. Anna and Eva, who also came to Singapore to take part in the Asian Festival of Children’s Content 2026, generously gifted us copies of Litara Foundation’s books. We thank them for the meaningful conversations, thoughtful gifts, and for reminding us of the power of storytelling in shaping young minds. #theheadfoundation #earlychildhoodeducation
